From the start, the Endo Exo project has been about combining graduate teaching with research. Over the last few years, Lennard Davis has been teaching a graduate course titled “Representing the Poor” at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Several team members joined the Endo Exo Project after taking the course. At Paderborn University, Alexander Dunst has taught two seminars, titled “Computing Class in the English and American Novel” (Spring 2020) and “Working-Class Literature in the United States” (Fall 2021), respectively. Both sought to introduce graduate students to these topics and some introductory versions of computational text analysis while contributing to the Endo Exo Project with the help of student research.
